The Chieftains Lodge
So this Xmas I was given a HUGE present from the Smith family (thank you all very much)
of a Dream Holme Chieftains Lodge.
To help me see this through I have decided to start a blog showing my progress and the inevitable cursing of this mammoth undertaking.
Firstly I am going to be building mine slightly differently to the recommended way show on the instruction disc (yes it is so big it comes with an instruction disc) as I want it to be easily transportable i am going to leave it in parts, namely the 4 main sections of the Lodge and the front door and the rear wall.
My plan for this involves making the front door section and the rear wall magnetic that's to say placing magnetic strips on the sections so that they will be held firmly on during play but than can be taken off to pack it all away. I will try to explain this in more detail when I get to that section.
Anywho here is my progress so far...

| I have washed all the components in hot soapy water and bent the totems so that they will stand straight when assembled. I have also glued the front doors on to the front section of the Lodge (some minor adjustment was required and I managed not to slice my hand open so I count that as a win) |

| Here is the cleaned roof it looks a bit daunting now but I am hoping it will all become a lot clearer as I continue |
